Meet the TrueVan family!
My dad and I have always been avid outdoor adventurers. We’ve done everything from white water rafting, scuba diving, backpacking, and, of course, camping. As my parents have gotten older, sleeping on the cold, damp floor no longer seemed like the ideal way to experience the outdoors so we decided to get a trailer. Despite the hassle that comes with towing a trailer, we had fallen in love with the idea of having all the amenities of home on the road. We enjoyed that trailer for 2 years before we experienced every trailer owner’s worst nightmare - the trailer fish tailed on the highway.

We decided, right then, that we would never tow another trailer. While the trailer provided the comforts we wanted, it was also very difficult to maneuver and find accommodating campsites. We wanted something that everyone could drive.
My dad has always been handy, often conducting home improvement projects on his own. We spent the next 2 years poring through tutorials and detailed every inch of the floor plan to maximize the space. That’s where the idea of the three-in-one system, that we install in every one of our vans, was born.

“Where can I get one?”
“Can you build mine?”
With our first van finished, we took her on her maiden voyage. Almost immediately we got a flood of positive feedback - who built your van? Where can I get one? Can you build mine? We were humbled by the compliments and thought people were just being kind; but it happened at the next campsite, and the next, and the one after. My dad has always been a serial entrepreneur. In fact, we joke that the only business he’s failed at is retirement. We’re proud to say that we’ve been in business going on three years now, with very little change to our original floor plan.
